Kai Tze Chua

Kai Tze Chua is a dedicated music educator originally from Klang, Malaysia. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas (UNT). Ms. Chua began her musical journey by learning piano and violin at a young age, ultimately specializing in violin during her college studies.

In 2017, she began her career as an elementary school substitute music teacher and was part of the UCSI’s Dithyrambic Singers, a university level choir in Malaysia. Throughout her college years, she participated in team teaching within UNT’s String Project and performed as a string player in both the UNT Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she pursued piano and vocal instruction as her secondary fields of study. Following her graduation, she became an assistant orchestra director at Dan F. Long Middle School, where her group achieved a superior rating in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) music competition.

Despite passion and knowledge being her top priorities when it comes to teaching, she pays special attention in student-centered learning. By understanding the musical preferences of each child, she ensures that they not only learn effectively but also develop a love for the material.
