Jiaxin (Jessie) Ou

Jiaxin Ou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology (Music Education) from South China Normal University School of Music in Guangzhou, China, which she completed in 2019. Her passion for piano performance and collaboration led her to Oklahoma City University, where she earned dual Master's degrees in Piano Performance and Vocal Coaching between 2019 and 2023.

During her time at OCU, Jiaxin worked extensively in musical theater as an assistant music director, contributing to productions like A Little Night Music, Children of Eden, Sunday in the Park with George, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Speed Dating Tonight, and the Performance Study Program.

Jiaxin has a diverse teaching and performance background, with two years of teaching experience at a music school in China and one year in Oklahoma City. She was also a collaborative pianist with the Guangzhou Opera for two years and has three years of experience as an accompanist.

Currently, Jiaxin is a second-year DMA student in Collaborative Piano at the University of North Texas, where she serves as a teaching assistant in both the vocal and collaborative piano programs, supported by a full-ride scholarship.
